Helpful Information about the Dental Assistant Exam
If you want to become a dental assistant, you may be required to take a dental assistant exam before you can work. Different states have different requirements when it comes to specifications for dental assistants. For example, some require graduates to take a state licensing exam while others do not. You will need to graduate from an ADA accredited school in order to take your state exam or the national exam given by the DANB or Dental Assisting National Board.
If you want to be a CDA or Certified Dental Assistant, you will need to take the exam by the DANB.
